This Delica checked out very well and is in true Grade 4.0 condition, as graded by the auction inspector. This is quite the compliment by the auction inspector as the mileage is over 100K and typically the grading would be reduced by a half point.

It is an Exceed model featuring Crystal lite roofs, Captains chairs, and upgraded alloy rims.

The anticipated arrival date for this Delica to land in Canada is mid-to-late May of 2008. (Just in time for camping season)

Hi again Terra,

We had an incredible response from our last email regarding Biodiesel. It seems word is out there that alternative fuels are a legitimate option RIGHT NOW which is fantastic to see.

If running your vehicle on FREE fuel (waste vegetable oil) sounds good to you, then a veggie oil conversion may be right for you.

Just this week we installed a Veggie Oil Conversion Kit on one of our clients Mitsubishi Pajero's! Yes, they have been making Veggie Oil conversion kits for a few years now that provide you with all the materials needed to convert your Diesel vehicle to run on Veggie Oil. (As we discussed last email; you have to convert your vehicle first before you can run Veggie Oil, however you can fill up on Biodiesel today.)

The conversion kit we installed on the Pajero is from Frybrid. (aptly named after the sweet smell of fries coming from your exhaust when you're running on veggie oil) It can be had for under $2,000 CAD not including installation. Frybrid's kits can be installed on just about any Diesel vehicle but they offer some specific kits for Dodge Pickups, VW Diesels and Mercedes.

With all this talk of getting better fuel economy and reducing your environmental footprint, we picked up a perfect candidate at the auctions last night.

We came across this rare, Diesel Mercedes Benz E-Class 300D in immaculate condition at a great price. The 300D is a popular choice for running Biodiesel or doing a Veggie Oil Conversion.

This Benz can run on Biodiesel as is, right now! Bring it to a Biodiesel fuel station, fill up, drive away, and you're driving on Biodiesel. It can also be converted to run on Veggie Oil.

Frybrid makes a kit specifically for the W124 Diesel Mercedes which can be had for $1,895 USD, installation not included. Another popular choice for conversions is the Greasecar conversion system. www.greasecar.com

We came across this interesting list explaining the common misconceptions about Biodiesel that we thought you may find interesting:

We were particularly fond of this myth,

MYTH #4: You must convert your vehicle to run biodiesel.

FACT: Let me describe the conversion process (which is also outlined under 6 Ways To Find And Use Biodiesel Anywhere): Drive to the nearest biodiesel pump, put the spout in the side of the car, and pump the biodiesel into your fuel tank (provided it's a diesel). That's it. You can use biodiesel in almost any diesel engine without modification. In fact, if you own a diesel vehicle you can probably fill it up today with 100% biodiesel (B100) and should experience no problems whatsoever.

Many of our clients have imported a JDM diesel vehicle with the intention of running Biodiesel and several have even converted their vehicles to run on Veggie Oil! (Running on Biodiesel and Veggie oil is completely different)

7 Easy Steps to Bidding on this 600SL

When your ideal vehicle becomes available, it's an exhilarating feeling. There are several steps we must take in order to successfully inspect, bid, purchase, and import your vehicle. If this if your first time bidding on an auction vehicle please pay very close attention to these steps.

Step 1: Create and Account in our Support System

Step 2: Submit a ticket to "Place an Auction Bid"

Login into our Support System then choose the option to Submit a ticket
There will be multiple options available, choose the department "Place an Auction Bid".

Please include any specific questions you may have for the inspector about this vehicle and they will be answered to the best of their ability.
To determine your Maximum bid, enter the amount in Canadian dollars that you would pay to have this vehicle imported to your city, including taxes for your province and in-Canada shipping to a major city in your province.Your maximum bid is the Total Landed Cost you want to pay for this vehicle. We will work *backwards* from your "all included" Canadian budget to determine how much you can afford to bid in Yen on the vehicle.
We require your contact information to reach you where ever you may be in the evening.

Step 3: Place your deposit

You must have your $1000 auction deposit in place before you can bid on a vehicle. You can wait until we reply to your ticket and ask you to place the deposit or you can place it immediately after submiting your Auction Bid ticket. Again, timing is critical with auction vehicles so the sooner your deposit is placed the sooner we can approve your bid and request an inspection. We cannot bid on a vehicle until you have a deposit in place, no exceptions.

Your auction deposit is transferable to any vehicle you want to bid on until you purchase or ask for it to be returned.

Step 4: Wait for the results

When we place a request for an auction vehicles inspection we cannot guarantee an inspection on your auction vehicle will be possible. There are many contributing factors that can affect the availability of an inspection, from the timing and location of the auctions, the number of vehicles to be inspected by that inspector and the schedule of those vehicles, to traffic delays reaching the auction house. We have a success rate of 80-90% when arranging inspections for requests submitted within the given timeframes.

Step 5: The Results are in!

This is the point where we find out the true condition of the vehicle of interest. Auction grading is good for sorting through the masses, but with thousands of vehicles graded, there are bound to be discrepancies. Placing a blind bid on any car no matter what the grade is a recipe for disaster which is why we will not bid on a vehicle if we can't have an agent view the vehicle in person.

Our agent will give us a full overview of the condition of the vehicle. Please note, this inspection is limited to a visual basis due to the regulations of the auction houses. Details of the auction inspection can be found here.

Once the results are in, we'll contact you by phone and discuss placing a bid on the vehicle. At this point your maximum bid can be adjusted acording to the condition of the vehicle or you can choose to PASS on a car if it doesn't meet your needs.

Step 6: Authorizing your Bid

If the results of the inspection are to your satisfaction, we will place a bid on your behalf and you are one step closer to the purchase of your ideal imported vehicle.

Step 7: Success!

Your bid is sufficient to purchase your vehicle. We will email you a purchase agreement the following day and you will have 4 days to make the initial purchase payment.

If your bid was unsuccessful, or the vehicle was not up to your standards, we will continue the search until we find another suitable candidate. Your auction deposit is transferable to any vehicle you want to bid on until you purchase or ask for it to be returned.

Ultra Rare 5 speed with Factory Electric Diff Lockers (Separate front and rear diff locks)

This excellent condition HDJ81 was purchased from auction on November 6th. It is a mid mileage vehicle with the rather difficult to find front and rear differential lockers coupled with a manual transmission. It checked out beautifully and outside of the paint fade on the hood and roof (a straight forward fix, typically $300-500 to repair!), it is in outstanding shape.

1992 Mitsubishi Delica Super Exceed (P35W) Details

We picked this 'gem in the rough' out of the auctions on November 7th. The first look lets you know this Delica means business and is ready to hold its own when the going gets tough. Once behind the wheel a whole new set of back road destinations will now be available.

Our inspector let us know that if not for the raised suspension, this Delica could easily have been an auction grade 4.0 vehicle. The exterior is in excellent condition with only a handful of minor blemishes to speak of. The only point of contention is some small surface rust spots on the roof. The interior is also in great shape with no major flaws at all.

All power options tested successfully and the Delica proved to be in solid mechanical condition as well. The 2.5L turbo diesel engine turned over smoothly and idled with out issue.

This Delica offers unparalleled value with everything has to offer. For a capable off road companion that will turn heads everywhere it goes, don't miss out on this Delica.

How does the Canadian Dollar affect JDM Importing?

We wanted to let you know that the Canadian Dollar has jumped to a 31-year high after the Canadian employment report smashed expectations.

Statistics Canada reported that unemployment dropped to 5.9 pct from 6.0 pct during September - the first time since November 1974 that the rate has been below 6.0 pct. Meanwhile, the number of jobs created during September came in at 51,000 way above expectations for a 16,000 increase.

How does a strong Canadian dollar affect you?

It affects us at a higher level in many ways, but the end result is that it's cheaper to buy things outside of Canada right now than it has been in 32 years!

This Pulsar GTiR is landed, registered, local to Vernon and is available for sale immediately.

This Pulsar was imported in early 2006 through Terra2. It is now looking for a new home as the owner wishes to purchase a house and unfortunately their finances do not allow him to keep this car.

Under 10k KM's have been put on this GTiR since landing in Canada as it's not his primary vehicle.

The former owner was a Mechanic

He has taken good care of the car in the way of $2500 in general maintenance.

This Pulsar has had it's fluids changed, a CV joint and both boots were done, new tires on the front, iridium spark plugs, boost gauge, and a few other things that we will get the details on if you are interested.

On to the issues;

This Pulsar has the notorious "roof rattle" that Pulsar GTiR's are well known for. It's not a major issue, and just takes time to properly remove the headliner and replace the adhesive holding the roof to the supports as it has loosened and the roof rattle from the vibrations of the engines. The factory motor mounts on GTiR's are nearly solid so there is quite a bit of vibration transferred to the rest of the car. This was a purpose built factory Rally Racing car after all!

This car did have a small low speed run in with another careless driver in a parking lot, requiring a front turn signal and a repaint on a fender, but the paint matches very well and it's difficult to tell even when looking for it. The fog lights have been removed from the front and the space for them remains. The current owner didn't like them, and one of them burnt out, so he took them both out. This would be an easy replacement and gives the car a very aggressive WRC-ish look, like a Rally car should look:)

The car drives well, and overall it's in good condition.

It's not immaculate, and that is reflected in the price. He is asking $6,900 CAD OBO, (not including PST, no GST as it's a private sale! This doesn't take into consideration the additional maintenance work put into the car once landed. For a Landed Pulsar GTiR, already registered in BC, well maintained by a mechanic owner, this car is a steal of a deal.

If you're in a province outside of BC and wish to purchase this vehicle, we can arrange shipping to you in your specified location, or if you wish to fly in to Kelowna we may be able to accommodate a pick-up/delivery at the airport depending on the timing. You will then require a temporary operating permit to relocate the car to your home province and a Provincial safety inspection to register the car. We picked up a couple of vehicles at the auctions earlier this week for our "Terra2 Stock".

These vehicles have already been inspected by our agents in Japan and all available details and pictures at this time have been included in this listing. These 3 cars met *our* criteria for importing a vehicle for ourselves. (Our criteria is very high, we've been buying vehicles from Japan for over 2.5 years)

We're giving you first dibs on these cars while they get prepped for shipping before they arrive. When they land in Canada we will be advertising them locally and of course, they will be priced at their TRUE value which is $1000's more than you can get them for right now.

It's pretty straight forward, people will pay more (a lot more) for the convenience of having the car in front of them already in Canada. If you have the patience, and can wait about 6-10 weeks, then you're going to save yourself a lot of money over buying locally and get a higher quality vehicle for your budget.
