1.Worn Out Tires – Check if your tires are inflated to the proper pressure. Under inflated tires can result to poor fuel economy because of the resistance drag. You should also check for alignment and balance as any problem in this area is potentially dangerous.

2.Worn Brake Parts – It need not be emphasized that brakes are very important in any vehicle. If your brakes grind, squeal, or produces a strange sound, have them checked at once. Have your brakes regularly checked to avoid the high cost of a total braking system overhaul.

3.Dim or Burned Out Lights – Make sure your headlights, taillights and other important lights are bright, clear and in good working condition. Your car's lights are your only communication to other drivers as well as pedestrians. Make sure you can see and be seen.

4.Corroded Battery Cables – As time goes by, your battery's cables will be corroded by dirt, wear and tear, and chemicals. This may cause starting troubles. Have your battery system checked if you are having trouble with your engine.

5.Dirty, Clogged Air Filters – Air, Oil, Gas, and other filters should be regularly checked and replaced. Dirty and Clogged filters can significantly reduce the performance of your life, so have them replaced right away.

6.Defective Windshield Wipers – You would hate to have your wipers stuck just when you are in the middle of a rainy day. Have your windshield wipers checked and replaced at the first sign of trouble.

7.Deteriorating Cooling System – The radiator and heater cores are essential to the well being of your car as well as the comfort of its occupants. Regular servicing of the cooling system is necessary.

8.Faulty Spark Plugs – Defective spark plugs can waste gas and increase exhaust emissions. Replacing worn spark plugs can improve engine performance.
